St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Congratulations to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines team for a well deserved 3rd place finish in the CNA Jean Pierre U16 Tournament 2008.

The Vincie girls played well especially lanky goal shooter Mary -Ann Frederick and high jumping goal keeper Tonique Bowen.

Bowen demonstrated her jumping ability especially in the Jamaica match where she picked a number of the high flying lobs intended for Jamaica's 6ft 9in giant Marvadene Anderson. She was rewarded for her efforts as she was adjudged the Most Valuable Player on the St. Vincent Team.

Mary-Ann Federick topped the top ten shooting list for accuracy with 86.71% after 7 games and her team placed 3rd in the shooting competition. The Team was judge the Most Accurate Shooting team with 189 goals scored from 236 attempts in the competition.

Four of the St. Vincent players were listed in the top sixteen players of the competition - Tonique Bowen, Mary-Ann Federick, Sheldene Joseph and Ruth-Ann Williams.
