Barbados - Netball Pioneer Passes Away

The Sunday Sun Nation Newspaper in Barbados reported today that "FORMER MAPLE CLUB captain and Barbados netball player June Carew died recently in Ontario, Canada, where she had relocated after decades of a local career as owner-operator of June's Beauty Box in Bridgetown.

June's life will be celebrated at a memorial service to be held at the Holetown Methodist Church on June 11, after which her cremated remains will be interred at the St Peter Cemetery."
